2. Information We Collect
We collect voter session information to keep our map visualisations accurate and real-time. This includes:
- Voter Token: A randomly generated 64-character token stored locally in your browser cookie to identify your vote and prevent double-voting.
- Declared Profile details: If you choose to personalize your sharing card, we store your self-reported display name and optionally a base64 encoded profile picture locally in your browser storage. We do not store your profile picture on our backend databases.
- Geographic Location: To display where support is coming from, our system maps IP addresses to the country level. Your precise coordinates are never requested or tracked.
3. Log Files
GlobalStand follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
